Your Honda key fob, whether it's for a Honda Pilot, Accord, Civic, Odyssey, or CR-V model, was designed to perform additional functions in addition to locking and unlocking your vehicle. Let's find out what hidden features your key fob has up its figurative sleeve. (Note, most Honda key fobs will work within about 100 feet of your Honda vehicle.)
In this article you will learn:

How can I remotely start my Honda using my key fob?

How can I program the memory seat to my Honda fob?
How to remote start your Honda using your fob
Using your key fob, first press the lock button and you’ll see the lights flash to show your Honda is locked. Then press and hold the half circle button that is on the bottom left of your fob. Your Honda's lights will flash to note it received the signal and the car should start within several seconds. Another flash of the lights will indicate it has started running.
This is a fantastic feature for when it is cold outside and you’d like to have your car warm when you get inside. With this, your car will run for 10 minutes. What’s pretty neat about this function is that your car will automatically come to a comfortable temperature of 72 degrees, whether it is hot or cold outside your Macon home.
?How to lower all the windows on your Honda from the outside
This feature is ideal for alleviating the stifling heat inside your vehicle on a hot summer day in Milledgeville or Eatonton.
The instructions for using this feature may be different depending on the Honda fob, but in most cases, you'll follow these steps:
After you have clicked the unlock button, check to see that the lights on your vehicle are flashing after you have done so. After the lights begin to flash, you will need to press and hold the unlock button once more, keeping it held until the windows roll down.
Remember that activating this feature will cause all of your windows to open, and if your car has a sunroof, it will do the same for that as well! While you may not be able to use your key fob to remotely close the windows, what you can do is use your key (press the top button on the side to release the actual key) to roll up the windows. What you’ll do is put in in the keyhole and turn and hold counterclockwise until you see the windows close.
How to set up memory seats in your Honda
We've all been in that situation. You jump into the driver's seat, only to discover that your knees are pressing up against the dashboard or the opposite - you can’t even reach the pedals. There’s a solution: tie the key fob of your Honda to your preferred settings.
On your key fob, you should look for buttons that are labeled 1 or 2. These numbers correspond to the memory seat presets for your vehicle.
Simply adjust the seat and mirrors to your preferred setting, then press and hold memory button 1 or 2, depending on the corresponding Honda fob. You will hear two beeps when this is set. Now, you will have successfully programmed a preset. The next time you unlock your Honda with your fob, the driver’s seat and mirrors will auto adjust to your settings. Pretty convenient!
